These are the times we all look forward to spending time with family and friends, putting up the Christmas tree, and being surrounded by so much love and joy. So why not have a wedding during the holidays? With having a Christmas themed wedding there are so many opportunities that you have that you couldn’t do during the normal wedding season. A Christmas wedding has a very stylistic feel, everything down to your wedding dress, photography, videography, and DJ.
When looking for a Christmas themed wedding dress having a long sleeve wedding gown is absolutely stunning. Here at All In One Bridal we have gowns that have lace sleeves, sparkle sleeves, sheer sleeves or better yet we can customize your sleeve for you. During these cold winters, having a long sleeve wedding gown not only looks good but will keep you somewhat warm when outside taking photos or going from place to place. If you're not in love with sleeves you can always pair a cute fur shawl with your wedding gown and have your bridesmaids wear matching shawls as well. There are many unique and different styles you can do with your winter dress. You can do a ballgown with lots of underlay sparkle, you can do something simple and classic and jazz it up with jewelry, or you can do something with lace. You have a lot of options when it comes to styling yourself, your bridesmaids, and your groom and groomsmen. Tuxes that look great with a Christmas or winter themed weddings are grey tuxes. Most of the time you see the ladies in a red or dark green and that grey tux is a nice soft and neutral touch for the wedding party.
One thing All In One Bridal loves doing is photographing winter weddings because there are so many photography opportunities with having the snow as your beautiful backdrop. Snow is not the only gorgeous backdrop that can be used for your Christmas themed wedding. Other common Christmas themed backgrounds used during your photography session are Christmas lights, garland, Christmas trees, tinsel, and ornaments. All of these elements bring a classic Christmas look to your wedding with tons of opportunity for beautiful photographs. This same idea transfers into your videography as well. One of my favorite parts of the winter wedding is how gorgeous you can decorate your reception hall with warm reds, golds, greenery, and candles. These decorating elements bring such a cozy look and feel to your photography and videography.
When it comes to the night of your reception your DJ can play Christmas music for your cocktail hour and during dinner to add that creative touch. To me, it is an absolute must to have your DJ play Christmas music at your reception. We have a few favorites that our DJ has played at Christmas themed weddings including “Santa Baby”, “Winter Wonderland”, and “Last Christmas”. These songs always get the crowd dancing! Here at All In One Bridal we love Christmas weddings and the unique aspects that come with it.
